Here at Cross Lanes Child Care and Learning Center in Charleston, WV, we are committed to establishing a foundation in which your child can grow into passionate and successful learners.
We provide age-appropriate programs for children between the ages of 6 weeks to 12 years. In these programs, your child will learn, make friends, have fun, and meet essential milestones in their development!
Our Curriculum
Our curriculum is geared towards helping your child learn how to reason and problem-solve while fostering their physical and social development. We adhere to HighReach, an early education program implemented by child learning centers and daycares across the nation.
HighReach Learning is a comprehensive curriculum that provides enriching learning experiences for your children by strengthening the family’s involvement in their child’s learning. We strive to help each child reach their fullest potential through playtime, purposeful activity, and social interaction.
Our Early Education Programs
Infant Program
While some parents may want to stay at home with their new baby, not everyone has that opportunity.
Rest assured that the infant program at Cross Lanes Child Care has your baby’s well-being in mind. Your baby will be safe and well-cared for in our facility as we strive to make the transition from home to daycare as smoothly as possible. We provide the environment your baby needs to grow and develop.
At our facility, your baby will learn to interact, hold objects, rollover, and much more. They’ll also learn how to crawl, say words, and play with others.
Preschool Program
If your child is between the ages of 3 and 5, it’s time to start thinking about preschool. Allow us to prepare your child for kindergarten by building the foundation they will need to succeed.
Since 2015, parents have trusted Cross Lanes Child Care to help their children transition into a classroom setting. We teach our preschoolers the skills they need to succeed in kindergarten in a structured and stimulating environment.
Toddler Program
The ages of 1 to 3 are some of the most formative and action-packed years of their lives. Your little one will need to learn their cognitive and social skills during these fundamental years, and we are well equipped to facilitate growth in these areas.
Your toddler will practice feeding themselves, speaking, and recognizing objects and people around them. Your toddler will learn colors, numbers, how to run, and how to share their toys with others, all while having fun in the process.
Before and After School
Just because the school bells have rung, it doesn’t mean your child’s education should stop! With our Before and After School program, we’ll make sure your child stays active and stimulated when they’re not in the classroom.
We’ll help them get started on their homework, leaving your family more time in the evening to bond. Your child will also have fun choosing from a variety of activities to enjoy before and after school.

Summer Program

Our summer program here at Cross Lanes Child Care and Learning Center ensures that your child stays physically and mentally active throughout the summer months. They’ll enjoy playing with their peers, participating in summer activities, playing sports, doing arts and crafts, and so much more.
